Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is now acknowledging President-elect Joe Biden and vice president-elect Kamala Harris as the clear winners of the election.

“I prayed [Joe Biden] would lose. He won. He’s the legitimate president of the United States,” Graham tweeted late Wednesday.

He added, “Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are lawfully elected and will become the president and vice president of the United States on January 20th.”

I prayed @JoeBiden would lose.

He won.

He’s the legitimate president of the United States.

On the same day, Graham refused to support individuals who were planning on objecting to the certification of electoral votes.

“Trump and I, we’ve had a hell of a journey. I hate it being this way. Oh my God, I hate it. From my point of view, he’s been a consequential president, but today, first thing you’ll see. All I can say is count me out. Enough is enough. I’ve tried to be helpful,” Graham said.

He made it clear, “I don’t buy this, enough is enough. We gotta end it.”

On Thursday, President Donald Trump admitted his defeat and vowed a peaceful transfer of power, as IJR previously reported.

White House deputy chief of staff for communications and social media director Dan Scavino tweeted the president’s statement.

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,” Trump said.

He continued, “I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!”

Trump supporters violently forced their way into the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday to protest on the day of Congress’ joint session to certify Biden’s win, as IJR previously reported.

The president later posted a video message telling the protesters to “go home in peace.”
