Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) is continuing to defend the state’s election process.

However, he says some people are preying on the emotions of President Donald Trump’s supporters by disseminating “massive amounts of misinformation” about the election.

“There are those who are exploiting the emotions of many Trump supporters with fantastic claims, half-truths, misinformation,” he said.

He added, “And frankly, they are misleading the president as well, apparently.”

Georgia’s voting system implementation manager, Gabriel Sterling, also sought to dismiss allegations that were switched, “The ridiculous things claimed in some of these lawsuits are just that. They’re insanity. It’s fever dream, made-up, internet cabal.”

“However many words I can use to say how crazy some of these things are. Nothing was shipped overseas. No votes were switched. We did a hand audit that proved no votes were switched. I mean, that in and of itself should have been enough to make people understand that.”

Since the President-elect Joe Biden carried the state in the presidential election, the first Democratic nominee to do so since 1992, Trump has claimed without evidence that the state has a “fraudulent system.”

He also accused Raffensperger of being an “enemy of the people.”

Georgia Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R) and David Perdue (R), who both running for reelection in run-off elections, have also claimed that Raffensperger” failed to deliver honest and transparent elections” and have called for his resignation.

Raffensperger has defended the administration of his state’s election and denied that there was widespread fraud.

He has also said an audit of voting machines found no evidence they were “tampered” with.

Despite Raffensperger and other Georgia officials’ statements that they have not uncovered evidence of widespread fraud, Trump has continued to lash out at the state’s leaders.

On Monday, he asked, “Why won’t Governor [Brian Kemp], the hapless Governor of Georgia, use his emergency powers, which can be easily done, to overrule his obstinate Secretary of State, and do a match of signatures on envelopes.”

Why won’t Governor @BrianKempGA, the hapless Governor of Georgia, use his emergency powers, which can be easily done, to overrule his obstinate Secretary of State, and do a match of signatures on envelopes. It will be a “goldmine” of fraud, and we will easily WIN the state….

“It will be a ‘goldmine’ of fraud, and we will easily WIN the state,” he added.

And during an interview on Sunday, he blasted Raffensperger as a “disaster.”

For his part, Raffensperger said the state conducted a “wildly successful and smooth election” and said his family supported Trump but are now “being thrown under the bus by him.”
