While the presidential election remains to close to call, some of
President Donald Trump‘s allies are suggesting that he may run for president in 2024 if he loses this year.

However, one of the president’s family members is not sold on the idea.

During an interview on Dean Obdeillah’s radio show on SiriusXM, the president’s niece Mary Trump was asked if she believes her uncle would run for president in 2024 if he loses the election.

She chuckled and responded, “Honestly, I think that’s a face-saving ploy. It’s so absurd that he actually thinks he’s going to be able to run a campaign from prison … maybe he could, I don’t know.”

Watch the video below:

She went on to noted that in 2024, he would be 78 and noted that while Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is 78 now. But she said, “He has a horrible diet. He doesn’t sleep. He’s addicted to caffeine. He doesn’t exercise. He’s like well on his way to decompensating.”

“There’s no way he will be an intact human being in four years,” she added.

Former White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney addressed the issue in a webinar, “After this election is over, who is the leading Republican candidate for 2024? And I think now folks are starting to realize, ‘Wait a second, if Donald Trump loses, he might be the guy.’ And I’m telling you absolutely.”

“I would absolutely expect the president to stay involved in politics. I would absolutely put him on the shortlist of people who are likely to run in 2024. He doesn’t like losing,” he added.
