Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is shattering fundraising records leaving President Donald Trump’s campaign with significantly less cash heading into the upcoming November election.

Tim Murtaugh, director of communications for the Trump campaign, took to Twitter to announce Trump’s fundraising numbers for September.

“President Trump hits final stretch with strength, resources, record & huge ground game needed to spread message and secure re-election,” Murtaugh wrote.

He added, “Campaign, RNC & joint committees in September: $247.8M raised $251.4M cash on hand POTUS has done more in 47 months than Biden in 47 years.”

Trump’s numbers paled in comparison to Biden’s.

Biden’s campaign manager, Jennifer O’Malley Dillon, revealed on Wednesday of the $383 million Biden raised in September, $203 million came from online donors.

Last month the Biden campaign added 1.1. million new donors bringing the total to 5.5 million donors.

The former vice president now has $432 million in the bank just weeks before the presidential election.

Biden expressed his appreciation for his donors and thanked one of his supporters personally.

“To every person who chipped in a few dollars last month — thank you. Because of your support, we raised an astounding $383 million. I’m incredibly humbled,” Biden said.

He continued, “There’s still more work to be done, but I wanted to share the good news with Trimicka, one of our grassroots supporters.”

Biden told Trimicka, “I just want to thank you, thank you, thank you, for all you’ve done for me and the other contributions you made as well.”

He said he is really “humbled” by the donations.

Biden broke fundraising records in August when he raised $364 million, as IJR previously reported.

More than 1.5 million Americans pledged their first donation to Biden in August and 95% of those donations were from grassroots supporters.

Trump’s August fundraising total reached $210 million.
