Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is weighing in on the recent reports surrounding alleged comments made by President Donald Trump.

Sanders appeared on “The View” on Tuesday where co-host Meghan McCain pressed the former press secretary for a response regarding The Atlantic’s report published on Sept. 3. The report said Trump disparaged fallen U.S. soldiers and wounded veterans.

After noting the timing of the report ahead of the November election, McCain pointed out that Trump has a “record of insulting veterans” and people then “tend to believe it.”

She then asked if Sanders understands McCain’s and others’ perspective of the article, to which Sanders responded that Trump has “respect and admiration” of those who serve in the military.

“It didn’t happen,” she then said, after saying that she was one of the few people in the room during an instance that was reported about in the Atlantic where Trump allegedly called fallen U.S. soldiers “losers.”

She added, “That’s not who this president is, and that’s not how he feels about the men and women who serve in our military.”

Trump has also denied the report’s allegations.

During her Tuesday interview on “Good Morning America” with ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos, Sanders also said that those who have blasted Trump after they left the White House are “disgruntled employees.”

“It’s really simple,” she said. “I think mine is actually the honest account. You’re looking at people who have left as disgruntled employees, people who have tried to push their own agenda.”
