President Donald Trump’s campaign is firing back in response to Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s claim predicting how he would react to losing the general election.

During an interview with ABC News on Thursday, Tim Murtaugh — communications director for the Trump re-election campaign — is describing Biden’s remarks as “another brainless conspiracy theory.”

“This is just another brainless conspiracy theory from Joe Biden as he continues to try to undermine confidence in our elections. It was the Obama administration that tried to subvert an election by spying on the Trump campaign in 2016,” Murtaugh said.

Murtaugh also accused Biden of participating in an attempt to “sabotage” Trump’s administration after he won the 2016 presidential election.

He added, “Biden himself was part of the effort to sabotage the incoming Trump administration because they couldn’t live with President Trump’s victory.”

Murtaugh also reiterated Trump’s stance in the event he loses the election, saying, “President Trump has been clear that he will accept the results of the 2020 election.”

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany also called it a “ridiculous proposition,” regarding Biden’s post-election claim.

During an appearance on “The Trevor Noah Show,” Biden was asked if he has pondered the outcome of the election if Trump falls short and refuses to leave the White House, as previously reported on IJR.

The former vice president mocked Trump as he said the U.S. Military may have to step in and remove him.

“I promise you: I am absolutely convinced they will escort him from the White House with great dispatch,” Biden quipped.

The Trump campaign’s remarks come amid concerns about the upcoming election. On Tuesday, the state of Georgia made headlines due to voting complications that may foreshadow what the general election could look like in November.

Blighted by broken voting booths, long lines, and extended wait times, the Georgia primary election signaled red flags. However, Biden remains confident in his ability to win.

A recent poll result signals a growing lead for Biden, surpassing the 50% milestone.

Despite polls showing his approval dropping, Trump insists he still has a 96% approval rating among Republican voters.
