President Donald Trump is speaking out in the wake of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s announcement to suspend his presidential campaign.
On Wednesday, Trump took to Twitter with a series of tweets sharing his reaction to Bloomberg’s announcement. The president mocked Bloomberg as he noted the former New York City mayor’s massive investment into his presidential campaign. Trump also criticized Bloomberg’s decision to support former Vice President Joe Biden.
He tweeted, “Mini Mike Bloomberg just ‘quit’ the race for President.”
“I could have told him long ago that he didn’t have what it takes, and he would have saved himself a billion dollars, the real cost. Now he will pour money into Sleepy Joe’s campaign, hoping to save face. It won’t work!”

Trump, who described the presidential race as the “most embarrassing experience” of Bloomberg’s life, went on to offer what he thinks will happen next.
The president believes Bloomberg will also fire Tim O’Brien and all others who played a part in his presidential campaign.
Mini Mike Bloomberg will now FIRE Tim O’Brien, and all of the fools and truly dumb people who got him into this MESS. This has been the worst, and most embarrassing, experience of his life…and now on to Sleepy Joe!

Trump’s tweets came shortly after Bloomberg’s announcement. As previously reported on IJR, the billionaire businessman made it clear that he was leaving the race for the same reason he entered — to defeat Trump.
He tweeted, “Three months ago, I entered the race to defeat Donald Trump. Today, I’m leaving for the same reason. Defeating Trump starts with uniting behind the candidate with the best shot to do it.”
He concluded by confirming his intent to support Biden, “It’s clear that is my friend and a great American, [Joe Biden].”

Trump also took a moment to respond directly to Bloomberg’s tweeted announcement offering a revised version of it.
He tweeted, “Mini Mike, “Three months ago I entered the race for President to defeat Donald Trump, (and I failed miserably!).”
