More classified documents were discovered at President Joe Biden’s Delaware residence after a lengthy search.

Bob Bauer, a personal attorney for Biden, reportedly said the search conducted by the FBI lasted 13 hours.

Investigators discovered six items with classified markings.

Additionally, they took some of Biden’s notes, according to Bauer.

Bauer explained in a statement the Justice Department “took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President’s service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President.”

Investigators “took for further review personally handwritten notes from the vice-presidential years,” the statement explained.

Richard Sauber, a White House attorney, issued a statement saying the Justice Department “conducted a comprehensive search of the president’s Wilmington residence, and it concluded late Friday night.”

He added, “Neither the President nor the First Lady were present during the search.”

A source familiar with the investigation told CBS News Biden representatives signed a form outlining the parameters of the search including which parts of his home could be searched.

Republicans took to Twitter to share their reactions to the report.

Fox News contributor Ari Fleischer tweeted, “When President Biden said he takes classified documents seriously, the only thing he got wrong was his punctuation. He meant to say, ‘I take classified documents. Seriously.'”

Former advisor to former President Donald Trump Stephen Miller wrote, “Over the course of his decades in government, how many classified documents did Biden steal — and how many ended up in the hands of third parties or foreign powers doing business with the Bidens?”

Radio host Buck Sexton argued, “Taking classified documents home once, to one location, is a mistake. Doing it many times at several different locations- as Biden has done- shows recklessness and indifference.”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) asked, “How in the HELL do they keep screwing this up??”

He added, “As Biden repeatedly says, “everyone knows how seriously I take classified documents. Yes. Yes we do.”

AGAIN?!? How in the HELL do they keep screwing this up??

Last week, Biden addressed the issue of the classified documents while in California to survey damage left behind by storms, as IJR reported.

“Look, as we found a handful of documents were filed in the wrong place. We immediately turned them over to the archives and the Justice Department,” Biden said.

He continued, “We’re fully cooperating and looking to get this resolved quickly. I think you’re gonna find there’s nothing there. I have no regrets. I’m following what the lawyers have told me they want me to do. It’s exactly what we’re doing. There’s no ‘there’ there.”
